29th November 2021 – Recent changes

New measures in England have been announced by Boris Johnson in response to the Omicron coronavirus variant; face masks will be mandatory in shops from tomorrow.
At Allmat, a Perspex screen is still in place across our Trade Counter and we have re-instated a one-way system. In addition to this, we have set up a sanitisation station at the store entrance for customers use.

Throughout the pandemic, the safety of our customers and colleagues have always been our number one priority. Your cooperation, understanding and continued support is much appreciated.

 

19th July 2021 – The lifting of restrictions

In accordance with government guidelines, some restrictions have now been lifted but caution is still advised. It is no longer a legal requirement to wear a face mask in our shop, although we are still providing face masks and hand sanitiser at the entrance for customers to use if wanted.

 

4th January 2021 – Business as usual

As a third lockdown continues in the UK, your safety and the safety of our staff remain paramount and we are continuing to comply with advice and guidance from the government. We are open as usual and remain vigilant with our safety measures and will do our utmost to provide the best service we can.

 

3rd November 2020 – Our ongoing response to COVID-19

As a second lockdown for England looms, the Construction Leadership Council has confirmed that the construction industry can stay open. The Prime Minister has explicitly said that construction and manufacturing should continue. The latest Government guidance has reiterated this.

In view of this information, Allmat will remain open.

COVID-19 safety measures are already in place:

  • We have a Perspex screen across our Trade Counter.
  • A one-way system is in place to enable social distancing in the shop.
  • Hand sanitisers are available for use.
  • Customers are expected to wear a face covering at all times while in the shop.
  • We have increased hygiene measures on our premises including regular cleaning of handles, doors and surfaces.
  • Wherever possible, we no longer ask customers to sign for deliveries. Our drivers will take a photo of the delivered items and sign on the customers behalf. An email confirming the delivery, will be sent directly to customers.

We will continue to comply with advice and guidance from the government and put the safety of our colleagues and customers at the heart of our business.

 

1st September 2020 – COVID-19 – Latest update – OUR TRADE COUNTER IS NOW OPEN!

Dear Valued Customer,

We are delighted to inform you that our Trade Counter is now open, serving customers from 7am until 4.30pm.

Your safety and the safety of our staff are always paramount so new COVID-19 measures are in place. We have installed a Perspex screen across the Trade Counter and created a one-way system to enable social distancing. Customers are expected to wear a face covering at all times while in the shop.

As a small token of our appreciation for your loyalty and patience during this difficult time we will be giving away a free gift to every customer ordering from the Trade Counter until the end of September. * (one free gift per customer, while stocks last).

12th June 2020 – COVID-19 – Latest update

Dear Valued Customer,

We would like to thank you for your custom and continued patience during these unprecedented times. We understand your difficulties and value your loyalty.

Here at Allmat, we are working very hard to stay fully stocked but you may have noticed that there are some national shortages, such as timber fencing products and plaster related products. This will improve as our suppliers continue to increase production – We will re-stock as soon as we can and will let you know once our stocks are full again.

You can arrange to collect your orders via our sales team on 020 8668 6666 Monday to Friday 7:30 – 5pm or you can email your order to info@allmat.co.uk. Once we have received and processed your order, we can call you to arrange a convenient collection slot / estimated delivery time. Your safety and the safety of our staff are always paramount so unfortunately our trade counter will remain closed for now.

11th May 2020 – COVID-19 – Latest update, following the Prime Minister’s address – 10.05.20

Dear valued customer.

I hope you and your families are well and keeping safe.

Allmat will be re-opening – Tuesday 12th May with several new procedures in place. To ensure the safety of both staff and customers, we will NOT be opening the Trade Counter.

Customers will need to order by phone, email or via our website – allmat.co.uk, Please do not visit the store until you have either spoken to a member of our team or received a confirmation message. Once we have received your order a member of staff will call to confirm a time for collection and take payment.

A MESSAGE FROM ALLMAT RE: COVID-19

Dear customer,

The safety of our customers, colleagues and the communities we serve is our number one priority. We are monitoring the changing situation very carefully and will make decisions daily to ensure we protect everyone during this difficult period.

FOLLOWING STRICT INSTRUCTIONS FROM THE GOVERNMENT 23/03/20; ALLMAT WILL BE COMPLETELY CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

We’ve taken the following steps as a business to help prevent the spread of Coronavirus:

  • Providing regular advice to colleagues on maintaining the highest hygiene standards
  • Increased hygiene measures on our premises including regular cleaning of handles, doors, surfaces, as well as hand sanitisers made available.
  • Advised sales colleagues not to visit customer sites but to be available to support via phone and email where possible. If a customer visit is essential, then social distancing rules should apply
  • Wherever possible, we’re no longer asking customers to physically sign for deliveries, instead our drivers will take a photo of the delivered items and sign on the customers behalf. An email to confirm the delivery has been made will be sent directly to customers
